I had doubts of this film, most definitely. As an enormous enthusiast of the two animes and the first manga, I questioned that Fumihiko Sori and his team could do Hiromu Arakawa’s magnum opus any sort of equity.
In any case, the final product is shockingly OK. Certainly, the CGI will in general be a blemish, the acting is out of control, and a few characters aren’t somewhat like their boss manga/anime partners (here’s lookin’ at you, Riza). Yet, all in all, this film sort of works. The screenwriters used sound judgment as far as what to adjust and how to fit it all together, and a few characters (predominantly Hughes, depicted by Ryuta Sato) function admirably.
