Year One Full Movie Review:
As a fanatic of the greater part of Jack Black’s work up to this point (basically the non Tenacious D stuff that is in satire) and a devotee of Michael Cera’s incredible straight man work on Arrested Development and Superbad, I was extremely disheartened in this film. It is an extraordinary reason for a film yet it neglects to convey many chuckles, it is essentially one of those “every one of the interesting parts are in the trailer” motion pictures and was I figure a truly squandered an open door for what might have been an extremely amusing film. Jack Black is alright doing his standard demonstration and Michael Cera is generally excellent in his commonplace straight man job yet the giggles don’t actually come moving through. There are two or three generally excellent appearance appearances in the film, I would rather not ruin the shock, and they help to compensate for the general low quality of the remainder of the film. Worth seeing likely however certainly not at the films for $12.
