Its the first run through amitabh has been advised to underplay his role.Amitabh is inconceivably controlled, and his assignment is to stay there and look simmeringly angry.The first half spotlights on the Big B and the second on the more modest one. Abhishek attempts to duplicate his dad’s irate look from days of old and does so splendidly. Indeed, even Kay Menon works admirably as the awful child. Obviously credit must go to Ramu who consistently causes his stars to perform. The camera work and the foundation score keeps you bolted to the film. Really an awesome film.
